Senior R&D Scientist – FISH (Fluorescent In Situ Hybridisation) Location – Newcastle (On-site position) Sector – Diagnostics Salary – £40,000-£45,000 Our client is a global Leader in health diagnostic tools and services, specialising in providing easy-to-use diagnostics to improve patients’ lives. Due to company expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Senior R&D Scientist to join the company to act as the technical project lead on their Fluorescent In Situ Hybridisation (FISH) tools. The role: Working as Senior R&D Scientist, you will be responsible for managing projects around development of immunochemistry technology and reagent products. The role will involve cross-functional collaboration with other teams to ensure project delivery. Projects will focus on both new product development and improvements of existing diagnostic tools. Core responsibilities will include: * Lead projects to drive the on-going product development and advancement of IVD tools. * Design and perform experimentation on automated staining instrumentation * Utilise experience of FISH assay development to effectively optimise and troubleshoot products. * Collaborate with internal R&D teams to facilitate on-going portfolio development and compliance with regulatory standards. Suitable applicants: This role is an interactive role and requires cross-departmental collaboration and ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment. As such, an on-site presence is required for this position.
