Senior Assay Development Molecular Biologist Location – Oxfordshire Duration – Permanent Our client is a leading provider of genomic solutions to support the ongoing development of genetic-based medicine. An opportunity has now become available for an experienced Assay Development Biologist to join the company and support with the product development projects within their diagnostic platforms. The role: * The successful applicant will be responsible for: * Acting as technical lead on R&D projects for the improvement and development of assays * Oversee project delivery, outlining practical resources, delivery criteria and milestones * Deliver project results and present data through internal and external meetings Suitable applicants: * Commercial experience in Assay design and development to facilitate product development programs * Experience with assay troubleshooting and validation * Proven experience performing R&D projects, with clear evidence of managing timelines and deliverables * Educated to MSc of PhD in Molecular Biology (or equivalent experience) * Good knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing * Good commercial acumen with understanding of product pipelines Suitable candidates can expect a permanent position with a competitive salary commensurate to experience (plus benefits)
