A UK-based organisation with decades of experience in the production and distribution of laboratory reagents & diagnostic kits supporting clinical, pharma/biotech, food and environmental sectors. With a Head Office in Southeast England but supplying customers across the whole UK & Europe, they work with R&D and Quality departments to provide innovative products and technologies for their customers and are committed to high quality and adherence to international standards and ISO certifications.

This new opportunity marks an innovative new sales strategy for the organisation as they continue to grow and develop across the UK and Europe. The successful candidate will be supporting a small team that is focused on new business development, along with managing a loyal existing customer base. This is an exciting time for the organisation and along with a competitive base salary, the company is offering a generous, uncapped commission scheme and are looking for a hungry and ambitious individual seeking a role where they can earn significant rewards for success and achievement.

Overview:

  • This role would suit an experienced Life Science Sales professional who is a self-starter and able to utilise existing assets and relationships to help to develop sales in a new and innovative product range.
  • A new business focused and hunter style sales approach.
  • Develop and deliver a sales strategy to effectively target and win business across the UK and Europe.
  • The preferred candidate will be based within SE England with good access to the offices where you can expect to be for approximately 1 day per week initially.
  • Have a solid understanding of Life Science reagents and cell culture in particular.
  • Build and maintain solid customer relationships across the pharma/biotech, clinical, research and associated CDMO sectors.

Role / Job Description Attributes:

  • You’ll be expected to be travelling approximately 50% of your working time with the remaining spent working from home/office.
  • Solid knowledge of CRM systems and able to log and track opportunities through in-house systems.
  • Work closely with marketing to develop effective marketing strategies to support customer visits, exhibitions and online campaigns.
  • Work closely with the broader SMT to engage in company/product strategies.
  • Able to work autonomously.
  • Keep up to date with innovations within the sector, understand scientific research, and emerging technologies.
  • Seek feedback from customers to identify wants/needs/opportunities and feedback to marketing and management.
  • Be aware of quality and regulatory requirements across the sector.
  • Attend/present at industry events.

Package will include a competitive salary plus car allowance and an uncapped commission scheme.
