We are currently offering the opportunity for a scientist to join an innovative biotechnology company based in Cambridge. Our client is seeking a new hard-working individual to contribute to the development of novel RNA-based therapeutics.
This is the perfect opportunity for an individual with hands-on laboratory experience within an R&D setting or during a PhD, with a focus on RNA-based research.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
The Role
- Utilising DNA to perform screening and optimisation experiments for in vitro transcription (IVT),
- Producing mRNA and saRNA and performing subsequent RNA purification and analysis,
- Working closely with clients and providing them with valuable experimental data.
Current / Recent Experience Required:
- MSc or PhD in molecular biology or related (essential).
- Hands-on laboratory experience with RNA-based projects during a PhD or within an R&D environment (essential).
- Experience with RNA-based techniques – e.g. RNA extraction, RNA isolation, RNA quantification, in vitro transcription (IVT), RNA sequencing.
- Expertise with molecular biology techniques – e.g. electrophoresis, ELISA, qPCR, flow cytometry (essential).
Profile Required:
- Existing UK work eligibility (essential).
- Happy to commute / relocate to Cambridge (essential).
- An interest in working closely with clients on client-based projects (essential).
