Graduate Sales Rep Scientific Lab Equipment

Location: Sheffield (Office-based)

Salary: Up to GBP30,000 base salary (GBP35K OTE)

An exciting opportunity for scientists who enjoy scientific communication and seek a career outside of a laboratory. If you enjoy talking science and would enjoy a role with a large amount of customer interaction we want to hear from you!

Our client sells a market leading range of laboratory equipment that have a worldwide reputation for their products and services. The successful candidate will support the growth of the organisation, as an Inside Sales Representative, to sell their instrumentation range across the UK from the companies head office via virtual meetings, phone calls and emails.

Full, comprehensive training will be provided with long term career progression opportunities in place. Once comfortable in the role, there will be opportunities to gain field-based responsibilities allowing you to travel to customer sites and have technical discussions with customers face-to-face.

To be successful; you will be a degree qualified in a scientific discipline or closely related field; you will have a passion for your science; have a genuine interest in providing suitable solutions for scientist, you will enjoy and be confident in talking with individuals about scientific equipment.

Previous sales experience is not essential, however, candidates must be able to demonstrate that they are looking for a career away from the laboratory and have a genuine desire to start a long-term career within Scientific Sales. This role would suit an individual with good communication skills with previous experience in a customer-focused environment. Prior experience in a target driven environment would be highly preferred.

Candidate Requirements

  • A strong academic background in a scientific field (BSc or higher)
  • Some prior experience in a target-driven customer-focused role
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the motivation to achieve and exceed sales goals
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Full UK Driving Licence
