Field Service Engineer – Scientific Instrumentation We are now recruiting for Field Service Engineer – Scientific Instrumentation to work for a global manufacturer of analytical instruments. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced engineer working with previous experience supporting complex scientific equipment, who’d like to work as the main technical resource for the company’s product range, providing remote and onsite customer support across the UK. Key Responsibilities * Conduct preventative maintenance and calibration of instruments in laboratory settings throughout the UK. * Deliver on-site or workshop-based repair services for instruments and systems as needed across the UK. * Provide remote support to customers via telephone, email, or online platforms, coordinating with the factory for additional assistance when necessary. * Assist with installations and collaborating with manufacturing sites to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule. * Manage all external communications and service activities using CRM, ensuring proper documentation for maintenance, repair, and installation tasks to meet Service Department standards. * Attend technical or product training courses at manufacturing sites as required by business needs and utilize available schematics, manuals, and technical resources to become proficient with the instrumentation.
