Do you have a working or academic background in chemistry? Are you comfortable working out outdoors in a non-lab-based role? We are currently offering the opportunity for a new chemist to join an environmental-based company in Oxfordshire. Our client is seeking a hard-working and engaging individual to join their team.

This role is suitable for either graduates or experienced professionals within chemistry.

IMPORTANT: This role would begin initially in Oxfordshire before moving to our client’s new site in Bristol, which is due to open in January 2026.

The Role

As a Chemist, you will be responsible for:

  • Receiving, inspecting, and separating deliveries of hazardous chemicals,
  • Accurately completing and maintaining delivery documentation,
  • Loading and unloading delivery lorries,
  • Operating waste processing equipment.

Current / Recent Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • A chemistry-related degree (BSc / MSc / MChem / HND) or working experience in a chemistry-based role (essential).
  • Prior experience handling hazardous chemicals at a hazardous chemical transfer station or chemical treatment plant (desirable).

Profile Required:

  • Able to relocate / commute to Oxfordshire now, and then Bristol from Jan 2026 (essential).
  • Happy to work outdoors in a role which involves manual labour (essential).
  • Existing UK work eligibility (essential).
  • A valid UK driving licence & car access – due to the rural location of their site (essential).
