Chemistry Laboratory Instrumentation organisation – electromechanical
Our client is recognised as global experts in their field and support customers within a wide range of industries from pharma/drug discovery, chemicals, automotive, food, pharmacy and academia.
The Service Engineer is a key customer facing part of this approach. The role is field based but with ~1 day a week in the office. It requires good interpersonal skills; a flexible approach and strong electromechanical skills with lab instrumentation:
- Installation and commissioning instrumentation at customer sites
- Training end-users and support in system set-up and optimisation
- Preventative maintenance, calibration and routine service
- Technical support and troubleshooting
- Compiling method statements and risk assessments
- Identify and pass on potential leads to the Sales team
About you:
- Qualification and experience in maintenance, support and installing electro-mechanical based lab systems
- Ideally a knowledge of temperature control systems
- Good customer communication skills
- Knowledge of PLC programming
- Willingness to travel/overnight stays
