We are recruiting on behalf of our client a self-motivated and detail-orientated QC Operative. Reporting to the QC Team Leader, you will carry out quality checks on fresh produce to ensure it meets customer specifications before despatch.
Working pattern: 5 days out of 7 per week and weekend working will be required. Shift pattern: 8 hours between the hours of 6am-6pm - with flexibility. This is a seasonal, full-time position expected to last until November 2026. Previous experience in Quality Control/Assurance desirable but not essential as full training given.
Responsibilities
- Monitor quality of finished product and assess if ready for despatch.
- Ensure that all products packed meet the agreed customer specifications.
- First basket checks (QC Online).
- Temperature Checks (QC Online).
- Printing of product labels, ensuring they contain the correct information.
- Check the quality of the finished products- QC Online- (barcode, correct weight/film, pack orientation).
- Completing paperwork.
- Cleaning the label room/shelf-life room.
- Report non-conformances or anomalies and monitor implementation of corrective actions.
Skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Good level of spoken and written English.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Competent in Microsoft Office.
- Good organisation and numeracy skills.
- Focus on continuous improvement and a “get it done” attitude.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in Quality Control/Assurance.
- Previous experience working in FMCG (Fast moving consumable goods).
