Our client is a well-established family business with core values of quality and service, offering services in Grounds Maintenance, Landscaping, and Environmental Water and Woodland Management.

The main purpose of the role is to manage and promote the Environmental Department, predominantly to expand on a small customer base including Drainage Boards, Environment Agency, River Authorities, Water Authorities, Landowners, Woodland Forestry, and Solar Park Management Companies. The Department will need to build up to a turnover of a minimum of £2 million, and the candidate will be required to encourage a positive working environment while building and managing the existing team.

The candidate will be responsible for:

  • All Health and Safety Management within the Department, including delivery of toolbox talks, site safety inspections, inductions of sites, writing RAMS, Method Statements, and COSHH.
  • Dealing with accident reporting and fuel and oil spillages, ensuring daily checks on equipment, vehicles, and machinery are complete.
  • Arranging all servicing and maintenance of machinery and equipment, including Tractors, Flail Mowers, Excavators, Chippers, Vehicles, Biomass machinery, and Remote Control Mowers.
