We are currently recruiting for a Site Engineering on a large scale project in Birmingham. The Site Engineer is responsible for delivering projects on time, understanding team roles, and managing site construction details.
Key tasks include:
- Setting out for line and level, ensuring compliance with Inspection and Test Plans, and overseeing engineering requirements.
- Planning short-term programmes, managing subcontractors, and maintaining health, safety, and quality standards.

Duties:
- Engineering: Understand construction methods, develop method statements, and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Planning: Create and monitor short-term look-ahead programmes while reporting progress to project planners.
- Quality Control: Supervise inspections, manage defects, and maintain accurate records of surveys and testing.
- Health and Safety: Implement safety procedures, produce risk assessments, and manage subcontractor safety.
- Communication: Collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring effective information flow.
Person Specification: A focus on STEM subjects, with a civil engineering degree preferred and progress towards professional engineering qualifications. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, proficiency in ICT (including AutoCAD), and knowledge of construction legislation are required.
