Job Role
Taylor Woodrow is recruiting a Communications Manager to lead all internal and external communications for both Taylor Woodrow and Taywood Engineering. Reporting to the Strategy Director, this role will ensure consistent, engaging, and effective communication aligned with company objectives, supporting both corporate and client‑facing needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of the internal and external communications strategy across the business and with key clients.
- Plan, produce, and implement internal communication campaigns that promote engagement, best practice and knowledge sharing.
- Create and manage high‑quality communication materials including newsletters, newsflashes, posters, presentations, award submissions, digital screen content, and designed collateral (brochures, leaflets, signage etc.).
- Coordinate and forward‑plan events and media opportunities, such as VIP visits and project milestones.
- Oversee and manage approvals for communications produced by subcontractors and third parties, ensuring compliance with internal, client and project‑specific requirements, including photography, videography and media releases.
- Manage the project LinkedIn channel (and other social media as required), delivering regular, impactful updates aligned with project, regional and client expectations.
- Maintain and update social media and internal communication trackers to ensure visibility and consistency.
- Provide timely and accurate information to joint venture partners and client communication teams to support responses to media enquiries.
- Support community engagement activities and events as needed.
Person Specification
- Proven experience using PR and communications to build brand awareness and strengthen reputation.
- Strong background in external and crisis communications and brand management.
- Demonstrated experience in producing themselves and delivering with others both external and internal written communications to large and diverse audiences.
- Professional social media management experience, especially LinkedIn.
- Knowledge of the construction and/or infrastructure sectors in which we operate or want to operate is beneficial but not essential.
