We are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to work on a £13 million highways project in Bristol - the project is a highways scheme and will include junction improvements, drainage and resurfacing.
Key responsibilities
- Core site engineering responsibilities, including precise setting out of works using engineering drawings, specifications, and control points.
- Deliver key elements of external civil works, such as pavement construction, road surfacing, kerb laying, and drainage installation, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory standards.
- Operating Leica TS16 Total Station and GPS surveying equipment for accurate spatial data capture and layout, supporting high-precision construction.
- Coordinate daily operations with subcontractors and site team.
- Manage the full project cycle of assigned tasks from site setup to final handover and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Interpret and implement technical drawings, method statements, and risk assessments, contributing to safe and efficient on-site execution.
Experience required
- Experience as a Setting out engineer
- Must have worked on civils / highways schemes
- HNC/HND/Degree in civil engineering would be beneficial
