Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Supervisor to oversee construction activities across various civils schemes, including MOD facilities, airports, roads, highways, and concreting projects in the Kent and Essex regions. The role involves ensuring that all works, including those of suppliers and subcontractors, are coordinated to deliver on safety, quality, and environmental objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation and site-specific plans.
- Supervise site activities to ensure works are carried out safely and in accordance with method statements.
- Coordinate works to maintain suitable safe access and segregation.
- Maintain accurate records, including variations, site diaries, and inspection reports.
- Manage subcontractor performance and address any issues promptly.
- Assist in developing and implementing opportunities for improvement, focusing on safety, quality, and environmental performance.
- Support engineers in reviewing options for method statements and problem-solving.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in supervising civils projects, particularly in MOD, airports, roads, highways, and concreting.
- SC Clearance or the ability to obtain it.
- IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
- Strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Willingness to work a mix of day and night shifts as required.
