Taylor Woodrow is currently recruiting for a Pre-Construction Manager to be responsible for all aspects of the pre-construction phase, ensuring we are best set to effectively manage relevant market opportunities in line with business unit goals. Based out of our offices in Exeter, the Preconstruction Manager will be working across our southwest region where our typical civils projects range up to £15m.
Duties:
- Lead the tender pipeline to ensure tender resource is effectively managed and Taylor Woodrow is best positioned to succeed in targeted tender submissions.
- Develop and manage the Customer Relationship Management database, working with internal relationship holders to ensure suitable engagement and touch points are achieved.
- Oversee the capture and development of bid related material such as CV write ups, completed contract write ups, social value write ups and the collation, development and presentation of social and environmental data.
- Manage tender governance and facilitate tender sign off meetings.
- Assist the estimating team with preparing subcontractor tender packages and managing subcontract tender returns.
- Ensure we receive detailed client feedback on successful and unsuccessful tenders feeding back key learnings to the wider team.
- Facilitate Client Post-Tender Award Meetings to efficiently and diligently commence the pre-commencement phase of each successful tender.
- Continue the liaison with the Client Team throughout the pre-commencement phase to ensure full and appropriate communication and engagement is maintained.
- Facilitate post contract completion review meetings. Capture the feedback relevant to pre-commencement from these meetings and ensure this feedback is incorporated within pre-commencement.
- Ensure the delivery team are set up for success by managing the handover and assisting in initial contract planning.
Person Specification:
- Experience in the construction industry, especially within highways.
- Understanding of pre-construction, bid management and/or estimating.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing business transformation projects is preferable.
- Full UK driving licence.
- This role is a hybrid role with the option to work up to two days a week from home.
