About the Role

Taylor Woodrow are seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to take a new highways scheme in Birmingham / Dudley from pre-construction through to delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering a critical infrastructure project, ensuring commercial success and compliance throughout the lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all commercial aspects of the project, including cost control, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and management.
  • Ensure accurate valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Provide strategic input on risk management and value engineering.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams to maintain financial performance and contractual compliance.

Key Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management principles.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
