Our dedicated Land teams focus on acquiring land with excellent potential for significant development. This programme promises a comprehensive overview of our land operation, coupled with insights into various other departments.
The Graduate Scheme
Our programme is a 2-year scheme, where individuals will gain an in-depth knowledge into land which will include the planning processes behind acquiring land, searching for and procuring new land opportunities, as well as developing a wider understanding of house building and much more.
The programme will include a 2-year development course to focus on your professional skills which are delivered at our specialist Training Hub in Solihull. You will have the opportunity to attend regular business masterclasses on a wide range of topics essential to your professional growth, including leadership, project management, technical skills, and industry-specific knowledge.
You will also compete in the King’s Trust Million Makers project, a nine-month challenge that aims to develop entrepreneurial skills and raise money for The King’s Trust, while being exposed to senior leaders and mentors in the business.
During the programme, you will have the opportunity to rotate across Business Units within your Division. The rotations are designed to maximise your exposure to a diverse array of Land projects and processes, enhancing your understanding of our operations.
During your training, you'll gain hands-on experience in key areas such as:
- Land risk assessments
- Understanding of Heads of Term, negotiations and agreements
- Legal instructions
- Applications and appeals
- Section 106/75 and planning negotiations

Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements
- 2:1 degree or above in a RICS or RTPI accredited course in planning or surveying (Required)
- Full driving license and access to a car (Required)
- Willingness to travel around the UK and are happy to stay away from home for short periods of time
- Willingness to move a Business Unit within the Division for up to 6 months
