Job Summary

The Media Manager is responsible for maximising the value of Taylor Wimpey's media investment through robust measurement, optimisation, and governance. The role will ensure investment decisions are driven by robust data analysis and has a key focus on delivering on key business outcomes. Working closely with our media agency and internal stakeholders, the role drives continuous improvement in media performance, identifies innovative channel opportunities, and champions the use of AI-enabled solutions to enhance planning, activation, measurement, and marketing effectiveness.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the media effectiveness programme, ensuring all media investment is measurable, accountable, efficient and aligned to business objectives.
  • Manage media agency performance, establishing robust measurement frameworks, service standards, audit management, and continuous improvement plans. Review annual performance and agree bonus/malus structure vs agreed KPIs.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with the property portals (Rightmove, Zoopla etc) ensuring best use of listings and product packages, oversee annual contract negotiations and make recommendations.
  • Build relationships with media partners alongside our media agency – work with key partners such as Google and Meta to deliver strong annual plans, and make best use of partner data services.
  • Manage and evolve our Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) capability, translating insights into actionable decisions.
  • Use the insight from MMM to facilitate improved media budget planning and channel strategy. Act as an escalation point to review BU performance and budget challenges.
  • Drive media investment optimisation by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and return on marketing spend across all channels.
  • Build strong relationships with Business Unit leadership teams, ensuring media investment strategies are clearly understood, supported and aligned to local commercial priorities and sales objectives.
  • Work with our Digital Team to deliver an effective SEM strategy covering both paid and organic search.
  • Evaluate and champion emerging media channels, technologies, and partnerships to maintain competitive advantage and future-proof media strategy.
  • Develop and deliver ongoing training regarding media new channel innovation, strategy, targeting, channel mix and performance and effectiveness to BU's and the Centre of Expertise.
  • Identify, test, and scale AI-enabled media opportunities that enhance planning, activation, measurement, automation, and decision-making.
  • Deliver clear performance insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders, supporting evidence-based marketing and commercial decisions.
  • Work closely with our creative teams to ensure we have a consistent approach to marketing, and that there is a clear set of guidelines for creative assets.

Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements

  • Media Measurement & Analytics: Strong understanding of media effectiveness frameworks, Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM), attribution, incrementality testing, and translating complex data into actionable business recommendations.
  • Agency & Stakeholder Management: Proven experience managing media agencies and influencing senior stakeholders, with strong governance, performance management, and communication skills.
  • Innovation & Strategic Thinking: Demonstrates curiosity for emerging media trends, AI-enabled marketing opportunities, and new technologies, with the ability to identify, test, and scale innovations that drive competitive advantage.
