Job Summary

To support the Site Management team to ensure that the construction operation is planned and managed safely, efficiently and effectively in order to deliver quality homes. Homes to be constructed within budget, to the agreed standard, in line with build programmes and to customer satisfaction. Deputise for the Site Management Team where necessary.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Organisation and Control of labour and sub-contractors.
  • Completion of weekly planning sheets and coordination of trades to ensure the overall build programme is met.
  • Ensure compliance from individual contractors and contractor supervision to ensure quality standards are met throughout.
  • Manage forklift & GSO’s both direct and agency.
  • Ensure materials and consumables are available as required to meet construction programme and advise Site Management Team what needs ordered.
  • Maintain daily diary to record site events and requirements.

Health and Safety

  • Manage site walkways.
  • Ensure site set up and all site personnel comply with TW site safety protocols and procedures in conjunction with the Taylor Wimpey Health and Safety manual.
  • Carry out frequent inspection of all operations to ensure they are carried out in a safe manner.
  • Ensure all operatives are working to the method statements and risk assessments submitted by the relevant sub-contractors or Taylor Wimpey management.
  • Ensure site boundaries, access points, offices and buildings are secure and maintained.

Site Inspections

  • Plan and arrange with Local Authority services to carry out stage inspections, as required.
  • Accommodate NHBC CQR inspections.
  • Accommodate multi-utility inspections, as required.
  • Accompany Inspectors during the course of their visits.

Customer Service

  • Ensure home is ready for the customer to CQA, NHBC and HQI standard with relevant options installed.
  • Assist the Customer Relations Manager (CRM), where possible, to remediate post completion customer defects.
  • To work as part of the team and meet the CRM and Sales Executives to ensure that customer satisfaction surveys are positive and meet KPIs.

Site Presentation

  • Assist the Site Management Team to ensure that the site is kept safe, tidy, and presentable at all times.

Control of Waste

  • Ensure that waste segregation takes place as per Waste do and don’ts guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with waste movements to and from site.
  • Ensure that waste skips are available for use.
  • Review waste regularly with Waste Management provider utilising the app.

Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements

  • Detailed building and construction experience.
  • Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Cost controls (working to site budgets).
  • People management.
  • Construction related qualification preferred.
  • CSCS card – Site Management preferred.
  • First Aid qualified preferred.
