Job Summary: At Taylor Wimpey we are looking to grow our directly employed trade teams, so if you are looking for a career on site then you’ll be joining a business with an inclusive culture and a passion for getting things right first time. We are looking for quality skilled trades people that really take pride in the work they do, manage jobs effectively and build strong relationships with employees on site and customers. The role of the Forklift Driver is to undertake the safe unloading and distribution of materials and assist the site team in relation to site security, cleanliness and segregation of waste.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Undertake the safe unloading and distribution of materials.
  • Assist the site team in relation to site security, cleanliness and segregation of waste.
  • Checking of material quantities.
  • Stack materials into designated areas/compound/containers.
  • Ensure all pallets are returned to suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Site Manager in preparing specific risk assessments for material handling, lifting operation and traffic management.
  • Complete daily checks on forklift, complete the necessary report forms, and arrange rectification of any defects or damage.

Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements:

  • Hold appropriate certification/license (CPCS rough terrain telehandler and full UK manual driving licence).
  • Basic knowledge of building materials.
  • A strong appreciation and commitment to Health and Safety.
  • Experience of operating telescopic handlers.
