Job Summary
Working alongside other departments and the Group Procurement Team, you will ensure the product is available for Taylor Wimpey Business Units (TW BU) orders in a timely manner, while keeping inventory levels within agreed limits.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Planning Manager, Procurement Team and suppliers to keep the demand plan robust and up to date.
- Analyse forecast, identify risks and opportunities and propose changes; efficiently raise issues.
- Identify root causes for demand errors and support BUs to address them.
- Raise POâs to cover known customer demand and shortâlead orders (loose supply).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for the stock team, inventory management process and systems.
- Train new starters on the process (upstream and downstream) and share best practices with other departments.
- Assist the Planning Manager with identifying and managing obsolete stock.
- Update and distribute KPI reports.
- Collaborate with the Planning Manager and CI Manager to streamline processes and improve stock availability.
Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements
- Previous experience in the housebuilding industry.
- Selfâmotivated and able to work autonomously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of Sage X3/COINs.
- Experience in SIOP/materials planning.
