Supports the Site Manager in overseeing field operations, contractor control, safety compliance, and customer relations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Efficiently manage field operations, supervise sub‑contractors’ day‑to‑day activities.
  • Assist in planning and programming site activities, ensuring safe completion.
  • Deputise for the Site Manager as needed, maintaining quality standards to meet customer expectations.
  • Organise labour and sub‑contractor schedules, complete weekly planning sheets to meet overall build programme.
  • Co‑ordinate with the Site Manager to ensure material availability.
  • Ensure all site personnel comply with Construction Health and Safety Regulations 1974, Taylor Wimpey Health and Safety Procedures Manual, and environmental action plans.
  • Conduct frequent inspections, verify method statements, risk assessments, and adherence to trade conditions.
  • Maintain customer care: liaise daily with Sales Executive, Buying Department, and sub‑contractors regarding supply, installation, and resolution of customer issues.
  • Plan and arrange inspections by National House Builders Council, Local Authority statutory services, and accompany inspectors.
  • Assist in Home Quality Inspection (HQI) and support post‑legal completion customer visits.
  • Ensure defect‑free completion, cleanliness, and compliance with drawings, specifications, and trade conditions.
  • Control waste disposal, manage waste segregation per company policy.

Qualifications and Technical Requirements

  • Trade background; NVQ Residential Construction Site Supervision L4.
  • Detailed knowledge of building process, including NHBC and Building Regulations.
  • First Aid qualified.
  • CSCS card holder at Manager/Supervisor level.
