Role Description
The Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Warrington, responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities on residential development sites. This role coordinates site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure homes are built safely, on time, to specification, and within budget. The Production Manager plans and schedules work, monitors progress against build programs, and resolves operational issues to maintain quality and safety standards. This position works closely with technical, commercial, and customer service teams to support efficient project delivery, compliance with regulations, and high levels of customer satisfaction. The role also involves regular site inspections, documentation, and reporting to senior management on performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Strong site management and construction production skills, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating trades and suppliers.
- Proficiency in health, safety, and environmental management, with the ability to embed safe working practices and regulatory compliance on site.
- Experience in quality control and defect management, ensuring work meets design specifications, building standards, and customer expectations.
- Effective leadership and people management skills to guide site teams, support performance, and foster a collaborative working environment.
- Solid communication and stakeholder management skills for working with internal teams, subcontractors, local authorities, and customers.
- Good organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and capability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Relevant construction or engineering qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent experience) and familiarity with residential housebuilding.
- Working knowledge of construction IT systems and MS Office; a valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites as required.
