Job Summary
The Hod Carrier is responsible for the loading, unloading and transporting of materials and will give assistance to the bricklayers as required.
Primary Responsibilities
Daily Duties
- Loading, unloading and transporting materials such as bricks, stone, block, mortar and other construction materials to the bricklayers on a construction site
- Preparing materials for use by the bricklayer
- Working safely and efficiently
- Following safety procedures and working efficiently
- Working well as a team to meet project deadlines
- Provide assistance to the bricklaying team.
- Keep walkways clear / traffic management
- Experience is construction industry
- Physical stamina and ability to carry heavy loads
- The ability to travel to various sites across the region
- Full Clean Driving Licence
- Have an awareness of safety issues
- Ability to work in a construction environment
