Finance professionals work with other teams to ensure that the business is delivering in line with its finance budgets as well as managing the cash flow to ensure that we pay our subcontractors on time. Ideal for individuals with a relatable degree in accounting, economics, finance, engineering or a numerate degree, this opportunity offers comprehensive training and development. Your attention to detail, proficiency in Excel, and interpersonal skills will be invaluable assets as you work closely with various teams.
The Graduate Finance Scheme: Our programme is a 3-year scheme, where individuals will gain an in-depth knowledge of the Group and Business Unit Finance function. The programme will include a 2-year development course to focus on your professional skills which are delivered at our specialist Training Hub in Solihull. You will have the opportunity to attend regular business masterclasses on a wide range of topics essential to your professional growth, including leadership, project management, technical skills, and industry-specific knowledge.
You will also compete in the King’s Trust Million Makers project, a nine-month challenge that aims to develop entrepreneurial skills and raise money for The King’s Trust, while being exposed to senior leaders and mentors in the business. During the programme, you will have the opportunity to rotate across Finance teams and the other business departments which are designed to enhance your understanding of our operations. In addition, we will support our professional development and enable you to study towards either your CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualification.
During your training, you'll gain hands-on experience in key areas such as:
- Invoice Processing
- Managing the systems and reconciliation Systems and Administrations
- New supplier set up and amendments
- Banking; Cash book processing, cancellation payments
- Payments: Purchase ledger payment runs, CHAPs payments
- Payroll; Weekly payroll processing
- Tax and Treasury; VAT returns, CIS returns
- Sales; approving completion statement, sales ledger invoice, processing certification
- Credit Control; Report Aged debt, manage the debtor’s ledger
- Supporting the Group Finance Function with its operations

Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements:
- 2:1 degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Engineering or a Numerate degree (Required)
- Passion to pursue a career in Finance
- Commitment to complete a professional qualification (supported by the business)
- Be a strong communicator, written and verbal, with an eagerness to learn and develop
- Full driving license and access to a car or ability to get to site locations (Required)
- Willingness to travel around the UK and are happy to stay away from home for short periods of time. Will be required to be located at our High Wycombe site. (Required)
