The opportunity for you:

As a Programme Management Office (PMO) Support Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Portfolio Office and Change team with delivery of key strategic programmes. Your responsibilities will include providing administrative support, assisting with project planning and coordination, and ensuring that all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date for specific programmes you are assigned to. You will be assigned to one to two of our larger transformation programmes, which consist of multiple projects and delivery workstreams. The focus for specific programme assignment will change over time as new priorities emerge, but we expect the focus will be to support operational integration priorities following our merger with a US based law firm on 1 June 2026.

Key responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Provide Programme Managers and Project Managers with support with day-to-day administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
  • Programme Coordination: Support the programme manager and project managers in coordinating project activities, tracking progress, and managing project timelines.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain and update project documentation including project plans, RAID logs, budget workbooks, ensuring all records are accurate and accessible and using the Change Delivery Framework templates.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular project status reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks by maintaining risk logs and tracking mitigation actions.
  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication between project teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the establishment and adoption of our Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool (PowerFramework PPM), helping the programme managers and project managers input their data into the tool and utilising the Power BI reporting module.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • PMO experience and delivering support to programme teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in PMO governance processes (as these relate to providing support to programme teams as opposed to portfolio management) and following structured project delivery processes.
  • Knowledge of PMO and project methodologies.
  • Knowledge of MS365 tools, including MS Project and MS Planner.
  • Strong, creative problem-solving skills.
  • Effective organisational skills.

Benefits:

  • Hybrid working (Offering the opportunity to work remotely, while maintaining a social boundary by working from our award-winning offices for 3 days a week).
  • Holiday (Our basic annual holiday entitlement starts at 25 days, with a further discretionary day of paid leave in December. You may also purchase up to five extra days each year (pro rata).
  • Enhanced Maternity and Paternity leave (After one-year service, you are entitled to up to 26 weeks leave full pay if you or your partner give birth or adopt a child).

Along with these there are many more benefits we offer, with the addition of a comprehensive flexible benefits package available.

We continue to build a team that exemplifies inclusivity and reflects the firm's core values: creative, excellence, integrity, responsible, respect and team. We value and celebrate the differences in who we are, what we have experienced and how we think, so all candidates will be treated fairly regardless of age, caring responsibilities, disability, gender identity, marital status, neurodiversity, pregnancy, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation and socio-economic background.
