As a Programme Management Office (PMO) Support Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Portfolio Office and Change team with delivery of key strategic programmes. This 14‑month fixed‑term contract offers flexible working arrangements and involves providing administrative support, assisting with project planning and coordination, and ensuring that all project documentation is accurate and up‑to‑date for the programmes you are assigned to.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to Programme Managers and Project Managers, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
  • Support the Programme Manager and Project Managers in coordinating project activities, tracking progress, and managing project timelines.
  • Maintain and update project documentation including project plans, RAID logs, budget workbooks, ensuring all records are accurate and accessible using the Change Delivery Framework templates.
  • Prepare regular project status reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks by maintaining risk logs and tracking mitigation actions.
  • Facilitate effective communication between project teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Contribute to the establishment and adoption of our Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool (PowerFramework PPM), helping programme managers and project managers input their data into the tool and utilising the Power BI reporting module.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • PMO experience delivering support to programme teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in PMO governance processes and structured project delivery processes.
  • Knowledge of PMO and project methodologies.
  • Knowledge of MS 365 tools, including MS Project and MS Planner.
  • Strong, creative problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective organisational skills.
