As Client Account Team Leader, you’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing our Client Cashiering function, guiding a small team, and ensuring excellence in service delivery across the firm. You’ll work closely with the Chief Cashier, fee earners and partners, gaining exposure across the business and contributing to continual improvement within a forward-thinking environment. Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to the Client Cashiering team, acting as the first point of contact for operational queries.
- Oversee the Client Account inbox, ensuring tasks are actioned promptly and efficiently.
- Monitor and authorise client account transactions via online banking platforms.
- Ensure accurate processing of all client account transactions, including daily bank reconciliations and related reporting.
- Maintain strict compliance with SRA Accounts Rules, documenting and escalating any breaches appropriately.
- Lead, mentor and develop team members through effective workload management, feedback and appraisal participation.
- Manage bi-weekly team meetings, focusing on lessons learned, process improvements and project updates.
- Identify and implement workflow and operational enhancements to drive efficiency.
- Work closely with fee earners and partners to resolve client account queries and support completion activity.
- Provide cover and support to the Senior Client Cashier as required.
- Assist in preparing documentation and data for the annual SRA audit.
- Support new starter inductions, including those based in the Ireland office.
- Manage trademark recharge transactions and ensure associated balance sheet reconciliations are up to date.
- Proven experience as a Senior Legal Cashier, ideally with supervisory responsibility.
- Strong working knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules and awareness of Money Laundering Regulations.
- Proficiency in online banking systems and accurate data entry across software platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive, adaptable and collaborative team player.
- Highly organised, with experience working to tight deadlines.
- Good working knowledge of Excel.
- Willingness and ability to cross-train across all core cashiering tasks.
- Hybrid working (remote option with three days in the office).
- Holiday (basic annual entitlement 25 days, discretionary day in December, up to five extra days pro rata).
