We are seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) for a full-time position at our Brackley clinic. We are a nurse-led practice, where our team of 7 RVNs utilise their skills to their full potential every day. We are looking for 2 more RVNs to join our team due to increased demand and practice growth.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting veterinarians during procedures
  • Monitoring animal patients
  • Administering prescribed medications
  • Performing routine checks
  • Maintaining accurate medical records
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of the treatment areas
  • Educating pet owners
  • Managing inventory of medical supplies

You will collaborate with a team of professionals to provide the highest standard of animal care and client service. The role will include night shifts on a rota basis (5 nights in 6 weeks followed by 9 days off) and 1 in 6 weekends.

Qualifications:

  • Veterinary Nursing skills, including patient care, medication administration, and assisting in surgical procedures
  • Strong organisational skills for managing medical records and inventory
  • Client education and communication abilities to support pet owners with care instructions and advice
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills to integrate with a multi-disciplinary veterinary team
  • Certification as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) and relevant professional registration
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
  • Experience with advanced veterinary technology or a specialty focus is advantageous
  • A compassionate, professional, and proactive approach to animal welfare
