Salary: £37,820 per year
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-18:00 (flexibility required)

We're recruiting for a Transport Planner to join a busy logistics operation based in Normanton (WF6 1TN). This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity with a well-established business, offering long-term career prospects.
The Role
As a Transport Planner, you'll be responsible for coordinating vehicle movements, planning routes, allocating drivers and vehicles, and ensuring the transport operation runs efficiently while remaining fully compliant with transport legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and optimise daily delivery and collection routes.
- Allocate drivers and vehicles efficiently.
- Monitor vehicle movements and resolve operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with driver hours, the Working Time Directive, and transport regulations.
- Liaise with customers, drivers, warehouse teams, and internal departments.
- Maintain accurate transport documentation and records.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in transport planning or logistics.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and transport planning systems (RHA analysis experience is advantageous).
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
