We are looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Driver to join our logistics team. You will be responsible for the safe transport of goods using curtainsider vehicles, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers with curtainsider experience who want consistent work in a supportive and safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate lorries to deliver goods to scheduled locations.
- Plan efficient routes while complying with UK road laws and company procedures.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe and roadworthy.
- Load, secure, and unload goods correctly within trailers.
- Ensure goods are safely strapped and positioned to prevent damage during transit.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle checks.
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers and customers regarding ETAs or delays.
- Follow all health, safety, and transport compliance requirements.
Experience & Requirements
- Proven experience driving vehicles (essential).
- Strong delivery and commercial driving background with a track record of reliability.
- Solid understanding of UK road regulations and safe driving practices.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route-planning tools (preferred).
- Valid HGV licence suitable for operating large commercial vehicles (clean record required).
