We are currently recruiting experienced Commercial Painters to join a well-established and growing business specialising in the refurbishment and painting of articulated trailers. The successful candidate will be responsible for surface preparation, repairs, painting, and finishing work to ensure trailers meet quality, safety, and appearance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare articulated trailers for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and removing old paint or corrosion.
- Carry out minor repairs to trailer surfaces prior to painting.
- Apply primers, paints, and protective coatings using spray-painting equipment and other appropriate methods.
- Mix paints and coatings to achieve correct colours and finishes.
- Inspect completed work to ensure a high-quality finish and compliance with company standards.
- Maintain painting equipment, spray guns, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Follow health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE and hazardous materials.
- Identify defects and carry out touch-ups or rework as required.
- Work efficiently to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.
- Assist with general refurbishment tasks as required.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in commercial, industrial, automotive, or trailer painting.
