Organised and proactive Transport Planner to join a busy operations team. This role involves coordinating daily transport operations, ensuring deliveries and collections are completed efficiently, on time, and in line with both customer and company expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and route vehicles efficiently to maximise productivity
  • Monitor drivers and vehicle movements throughout the day
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and warehouse staff
  • Manage and resolve transport-related issues and delays
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company procedures
  • Maintain accurate transport records and documentation
  • Monitor vehicle availability and schedule maintenance where required
  • Ensure PODs and delivery documentation are completed correctly

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a transport planning or logistics role preferred
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Competent using transport systems, including tracking systems, POD systems, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible approach to working hours when required

Working Hours

Monday to Friday with standard hours of 08:30 – 16:30, with flexibility available where required, including: 08:00 – 16:00, 09:00 – 17:00

Holiday Entitlement

20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
