Taylor Stevenson is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and driven Freight Account Manager to join a growing logistics business.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing a new Freight Account Programme, driving new business, strengthening customer relationships, and contributing to continued business growth.

The Role

As a Freight Account Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing and developing customer accounts, and delivering exceptional service to clients.

Working closely with the operations team, you\'ll help ensure a seamless freight experience while supporting the continued expansion of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through cold calling, prospecting, networking, and face-to-face appointments.
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, consistently converting opportunities into new business.
  • Conduct effective in-person meetings with prospective and existing customers.
  • Develop, maintain, and grow customer accounts through excellent relationship management.
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure the smooth delivery of freight services.
  • Achieve sales targets while delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.

About You

We\'re looking for someone who has

  • Proven success in cold calling and winning new business.
  • Strong face-to-face sales and account management experience.
  • The ability to build, retain, and grow long-term customer relationships.
  • A resilient, commercially minded, organised, and target-driven approach.
  • Previous experience within freight, logistics, transport, or a similar sales environment (preferred).
  • A full UK driving licence.

No formal qualifications are required—experience, attitude, and the ability to deliver results are what matter most.

Full training on the Freight Account Programme and internal systems will be provided.
