Taylor Stevenson are currently recruiting experienced Counterbalance Forklift Drivers / Warehouse Operatives to join a leading and well-established aviation cargo operation based at Heathrow Airport.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with valid FLT experience who are looking for stable, long-term work within a secure and fast-paced aviation environment.
Key Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) Certificate – essential
- Previous FLT experience within a warehouse or logistics environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- Willingness to undertake FLT assessment conducted by the client’s in-house FLT trainer
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow aviation safety procedures
Shift Patterns
- 4 on / 2 off
- 4 on / 4 off
- Majority of shifts are nights; however, flexibility for days is required
Pay Rates
First 12 weeks:
- £13.10 per hour
After 12 weeks:
- £14.00 per hour (standard rate)
- £17.00 per hour (Overtime)
Duties & Responsibilities
As a Forklift Warehouse Operative, your role will include:
- Loading and unloading vehicles using a counterbalance forklift
- Manual handling of various cargo types
- Using hand-held scanners to locate and identify cargo
- Processing paperwork in line with client and aviation compliance requirements
- Handling special cargo products
- Building and breaking down pallets
- Preparing and palletising cargo for onward transport
- Working in accordance with strict aviation safety and security standards
