Weighbridge / HSEQ Site Support professional to join their growing team.

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
Alongside your day‑to‑day responsibilities, you’ll receive valuable exposure to health, safety, environmental compliance and site management, making this an ideal stepping stone into a specialist HSE role.
The Role
Working closely with the Site Manager, Transport Manager and Production team, you will play a key role in the smooth operation of the site, ensuring all weighbridge, administrative and HSE processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the weighbridge for inbound and outbound vehicles.
- Coordinate goods in and goods out, including inspections, reporting and export requirements.
- Photograph inbound and outbound loads using the RECY system.
- Complete quality exception reports.
- Maintain daily diaries and ensure all required daily and weekly site checks are completed.
- Produce operational and production reports.
- Coordinate batching activities and complete assay reporting.
- Support tilter operations and maintenance procedures.
- Carry out site visitor and contractor inductions, ensuring sign‑in procedures are followed.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
- Complete weekly odour and fly monitoring reports.
- Maintain the fire logbook, including testing emergency lighting and monitoring fire extinguishers.
- Carry out monthly first aid box inspections.
- Support the onboarding and induction of new weighbridge team members.
- Assist with staff administration, including timecards, holidays, sickness, rotas, return‑to‑work meetings, training and development.
- Work closely with the Transport Manager, Site Manager and Production Supervisor to ensure efficient site operations.
- Maintain high standards within the Front of House area.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident working in a busy operational environment.
Ideally, you will have
- Previous weighbridge, logistics, recycling, waste or industrial site experience.
- Strong administration and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
- A keen interest in developing a career within Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE).
- Confidence using operational systems and producing accurate reports.
The following qualifications or experience would be advantageous, although training may be provided:
- First Aid
- Banksman
- Fire Marshal
- FLT Licence
- Telehandler
- Fogging
