Taylor Stevenson is proud to be working with a waste-management company based in Doncaster who are looking for a Day Site Production Supervisor to join their team. We are seeking an organised, proactive, and hands-on Day Site Production Supervisor to lead our day-shift production operations. This role is central to ensuring our site runs safely, efficiently, and in full alignment with our production, quality, and compliance standards. Overseeing a small team of operatives, you will work closely with the Site Manager, Front of House and Weighbridge teams, Maintenance, and the Night Site Supervisor to deliver a seamless 24-hour operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership & Staff Management: Manage and supervise a team of 3 operatives. Oversee timecards, rota planning, holiday cover, absence management, RTW interviews, training, and disciplinary processes as needed. Ensure the team demonstrates required performance levels and standards. Lead daily handovers with the Night Site Production Supervisor (15 minutes per day; +1 hour per week).
  • Operational Management: Monitor, control, and optimise all site production activities. Achieve daily/weekly production targets, both in quantity and quality. Coordinate plant operations in line with inbound/outbound loads and wider business requirements. Complete daily shift reports and production/batch reporting. Ensure pre-use checks are completed and recorded.
  • Compliance, Safety & Standards: Ensure strict adherence to all HSE requirements and PPE standards. Maintain compliance with ISO and all relevant management system standards. Confirm all operatives follow SSOW, Risk Assessments, and COSHH requirements. Prevent and discourage improper use of plant or machinery. Report all hazards, near misses, accidents, and concerns to the Line Manager and H&S Manager. Monitor and close out contractor permits. Maintain site security at all times.
  • Communication & Coordination: Work closely with the Site Manager, Weighbridge & Front of House Supervisor, and Maintenance Team to support business needs. Provide professional communication with colleagues, management, and directors. Offer constructive feedback and continuous improvement suggestions to the Site Manager.
Skills & Experience:
  • Experience with manufacturing/processing plant
  • Organizational and leadership abilities
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to problem solve
  • Mobile plant experience, in particular FLT, loading shovel and 360 grab (essential)
  • Proven experience as a Supervisor or similar role
  • High standard of English written and verbal communication
  • Computer literate, competent with email
Working Hours & Benefits:
  • 6am – 6pm rolling 4on 4off shifts (+handover)
  • Annual leave – 22.5 days
  • Pay - £16ph - £20ph (DOE)
