This Accounts Assistant role involves providing a high-quality service to the firm by working with the Senior Biller and billing team, to ensure accurate invoices are issued to customers/clients. This role involves but is not limited to:
- Working with Fee Earners and other members of the business to provide a first-class billing service for the firm.
- Drafting bills and approving bills.
- Producing credit notes.
- Ensuring any agreed client fee arrangements or billing deadlines are complied with.
- Ensuring compliance with SAR and VAT rules.
- Time and disbursement write offs.
- Dealing with requests and queries sent to the Billing team in a timely and efficient manner.
- Providing WIP reports and liaising with Fee Earners to maximise their billing revenue.
- Collaboration with the wider Finance team.
- Ensure all financial data is accurately captured in the financial systems.
- Generate ad hoc reports as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to pick up new systems quickly.
- Experience working in a Finance/Accounts department.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team providing support to others.
- Ability to operate in a professional, calm and friendly manner.
- Self-motivated.
- High levels of attention to detail.
