Accountancy Practice Specialists Taylor Rose Recruitment have been instructed on an Accounts Semi Senior opportunity on behalf of a progressive and forward thinking firm of Chartered Accountants in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Perfect for an AAT Level 4 qualified and/or ACA/ACCA part qualified individual looking for the next step up in their career with a great work life balance.
Will be working with an interesting and varied portfolio of clients, including SMEs and OMBs from an array of sectors providing accounts services. Our client offers a very supportive environment & culture with plenty of mentorship from the management and leadership team. Excellent remuneration & benefits package, full ACA/ACCA study support (optional), flexible hours, hybrid arrangement and a personal progression plan.
The Role:
- Preparation of statutory accounts under FRS102
- Drafting corporate tax computations
- Preparation and review of VAT returns & bookkeeping
- Training clients on accountancy software
- Dealing with client queries
- Attending client meetings
- Assisting & mentoring junior staff
You:
- MAAT and/or ACA/ACCA Student/PQ Practice experience is essential
- Knowledge of accounting software such as Sage or Xero (ideally)
- Strong written and verbal skills
- UK Resident
