We are looking for a commercially-minded Solicitor to join our team on a contract basis, providing high-quality legal support for a 12 Month Period to cover Maternity Leave. This is a fantastic opportunity for a versatile lawyer to hit the ground running, managing a diverse portfolio of commercial contracts and providing pragmatic advice to key stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Newly Qualified Solicitor or Solicitor with 2 – 5 years PQE in one or more of the work types covered by the Corporate Commercial department.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Organisational and time management skills to be able to manage multiple clients and cases to a high standard.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and time constraints to meet deadlines.
- Must be self-motivated and have a positive attitude.
- Must be professional and courteous in all dealings.
- A commitment to regular business development activities is required.
This role involves but is not limited to:
- Assisting and advising business owners on establishing their company structure including drafting shareholder and partnership agreements.
- Transactional work including share/asset sales and purchases, joint ventures, mergers and company reconstruction projects and franchising.
- Corporate finance including loans, debt to equity exchanges, refinances and investments.
- Provide support to senior Solicitors in the department on larger transactions.
- Assisting with marketing projects for the department.
- Liaising with clients and third parties, in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date file records, ensuring all documents are properly saved, version controlled, and compliant with company policies.
