Trade Mark Paralegal – City Law Firm – London
Taylor Root have partnered with a leading city law firm in their search for an experienced Trade Mark Paralegal to join the firms Commercial Technology team. This role will be based in the firms London office and is being offered on a permanent basis.
The Firm
A full-service firm in London, our client is known for their expertise in transactional, advisory and regulatory work advising successful businesses, their leaders and investors. It is a recognised leader in real estate, IP, commercial and technology.
The Team
This position will form part of the Commercial Technology practice in the firm. The team provide practical and prompt advice on the development and implementation of brands and trade marks to ensure the effective commercialisation of our clients' IP rights. This includes working with clients in fashion, tech, healthcare, nutrition, automotive and publishing.
The Role
As a Trade Mark Paralegal, you will primarily support one of the leading Partners in the firm on prosecutions duties, such as applications, renewals and oppositions. This will also include:
· Monitoring the progress of trademarks from initial filing to final registration.
· Providing guidance on matters related to trademark oppositions.
· Drafting documentation for assignments.
· Preparing standard correspondence for trademark applications and opposition proceedings.
· Conducting intellectual property searches.
· Liaising with relevant trademark registries and international attorneys.
· Handling telephone inquiries.
· Supporting intellectual property research efforts.
· Offering support to partners and associates with additional tasks as needed.
· Staying updated on technological advancements through necessary training and adhering to the firm's practices, procedures, and quality standards.
The Ideal Candidate
The firm are ideally looking for someone who has prior experience working within a IP team, with a focus on trade marks. Ideally this experience will have been gained in a similar leading law firm, however those from a in house background will also be considered.
