We are working with a client in the hospitality industry with global reach. They have a small legal function and need short term support for a period of 2 months initially. The individual will also need to be in the London office 3 days a week. This requires an immediate start so please apply straight away or message me if you are interested.
Key areas of work will include, among other things:
- Commercial Contracts: Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and managing a range of commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, master services agreements, licences and contract terms and conditions for customers. Assisting in development of customer contracting processes and precedents. There is also the opportunity to support the business with advice about new digital products, sectors and launches into new markets.
- Corporate: Advising on joint ventures, partnerships and collaborations, including cross-border matters.
- IP: Supporting brand strategies and the protection of intellectual property rights.
- Disputes: Assisting where necessary on contentious matters and ensuring that the group's global litigation register is regularly updated for auditing purposes.
- Data privacy, Cyber, and AI: Drafting and negotiating data processing agreements and advising more generally on data privacy matters. Maintaining and developing standards, policies and processes relating to data privacy in collaboration with Group Legal colleagues. Ensuring compliance with the group's evolving Cyber Security and AI policies, and that it extends to relevant contracts and processes.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations and supporting the General Counsel more generally with regard to risk, training and compliance matters.
This would suit:
- 3/4+ year PQE lawyer.
- Open to level of candidate providing there is an understanding the work is mixed level and broad in nature and of legal counsel level.
- Someone able to work autonomously and pro-actively with key stakeholders.
- An in-house legal counsel with broad commercially focused experience.
