A newly created, standalone international consumer business is seeking a Global IP Counsel to join its legal team at a pivotal stage in its evolution. Formed through the spin-out of a major global FMCG group’s Family Care division, the business manages a portfolio of market-leading hygiene and tissue brands alongside professional product lines serving hospitality, commercial, and healthcare environments worldwide. Backed by a major international joint venture and launching as an independent entity, the organisation is undergoing significant transformation, creating a rare opportunity to build and shape core legal capabilities from the ground up.
This is a high-impact, standalone IP position with responsibility for defining and leading the IP strategy across a global brand portfolio. Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading global trademark strategy and portfolio management
- Advising on brand development, naming, packaging, and product launches
- Driving brand protection and enforcement strategy, including infringement and grey market matters
- Supporting innovation and patent-adjacent issues in collaboration with R&D teams
- Advising on IP aspects of commercial agreements, licensing, and partnerships
- Acting as a key partner to marketing, innovation, and commercial stakeholders globally
