A leading international law firm with a strong technology and life sciences focus is seeking a junior Employment Associate to join its London office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team advising high‑growth companies, investors and global businesses, with significant cross‑border exposure. The London office works closely with US colleagues and supports clients across the full company lifecycle, from early‑stage growth through to M&A and IPO. The employment team is lean, offering high levels of responsibility, client exposure and direct partner access.
The Role: You will work across a broad range of employment matters, with a focus on advisory work and transactional support. Responsibilities will include:
- Drafting employment and consultancy agreements
- Advising on hiring strategies, including employee, worker and contractor classification
- Supporting clients on day‑to‑day HR issues, including performance, disciplinary and grievance matters
- Advising on exits, including redundancies and settlement agreements
- Providing cross‑border employment advice and liaising with international counsel
- Supporting corporate transactions, including due diligence, warranties, TUPE and related employment issues
- Contributing to business development, including client events, publications and internal knowledge resources
Candidate Profile:
- England & Wales qualified solicitor
- 1–3 years’ PQE in employment law
- Strong experience across advisory and transactional employment work
- Commercially minded, with an interest in working with technology and high‑growth clients
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Keen to take on responsibility and develop within a growing team
