A growing fintech is looking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel for a 12-month maternity contract. You will ideally have worked in a start-up/scale up environment and be looking for a role to build upon this expertise. This will be an exciting opportunity to join the organisation in a period of high growth and international expansion.
The role will involve:
- Provide legal advice on all legal matters relating to the group with a focus.
- Work closely with heads of business divisions to launch new products and services, advising during the structuring phase, assisting with the project-management aspects, and implementing the necessary contractual framework.
- Oversee the negotiation, review and drafting of a wide variety of agreements which are crucial to the group’s operations (e.g., NDAs, partnership/introducer agreements, service agreements, trading agreements).
- Handle legal disputes and litigations, engaging with external counsel where necessary.
- Advising on employment law matters.
- Responsible for ISDA negotiations.
This role will suit a lawyer with a minimum of 8 years PQE who is commercially aware, confident and proactive. You will be working in a small team so will need to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be willing to roll your sleeves up. The role will be broad and very interesting. Experience working in-house with financial services transaction experience is essential and knowledge of FX and Interest rate products (i.e derivatives) is beneficial.
