About the opportunity
Reporting into the Head of Legal, this is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growth organisation at an integral point of its development. This is a broad legal and commercial role reflecting the innovative multi-disciplinary approach of the business. This high-profile role will provide legal advice and support to the business on commercial and operational matters. The role will require the candidate to manage a broad spectrum of commercial legal work. The successful candidate will be able to engage with colleagues in a diverse range of functions and backgrounds, as well as drafting, negotiating, agreeing and managing a wide range of contractual arrangements with customers, suppliers and industry partners. The candidate must bring a proactive, business and solution-oriented mindset to legal matters and a proven ability to work collaboratively across the organisation.
About you
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 PQE, having trained in a top UK law firm or in-house. Defence sector experience is essential. You will have experience of a wide range of contract types including supply, procurement, technology, services and government contracts. Experience on both supplier and customer sides is strongly preferred. Understanding of government contracting processes, classified environments, defence procurement frameworks and government customer contracting would be advantageous. Ideally you would have experience of working in a fast-paced in-house environment. This is an in-office role. This role would suit someone who is commercially astute, pragmatic and who thrives in a collegiate and supportive environment.
