We are working with a leading law firm seeking the hire of a Risk & Compliance Officer within their Risk & Compliance Team, based in Chester. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the Compliance Manager/MLRO regarding daily AML and compliance queries.

Further key responsibilities:

  • Communicating with the SRA and Law Society to maintain precise regulatory records
  • Coordinating with PI Insurer/Brokers to handle PII claims and notifications
  • Accurately logging all complaints, data breaches, and undertakings in their internal reporting system
  • Overseeing and performing compliance file reviews on selected cases across all fee-earning teams
  • Collaborating with team members to manage daily compliance tasks, including file opening, ensuring consistent business support throughout the firm

Applicant Expectations:

  • Experience in AML work, preferably within a law firm, but also open to candidates with a strong background in Financial Services
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team and work independently with minimal supervision when needed
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities, with the ability to manage and prioritise your work
