Our client, a leading Top 50 international law firm is seeking a Non‐Contentious Construction Solicitor to join its highly respected Construction & Engineering practice. The duration of the role is flexible depending on individual availability up to 12 months, with shorter terms considered.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction lawyer to work on some of the UK's most high‐profile development, infrastructure, and engineering projects.

The Opportunity:

You will join a large, well‐established team of over 50 construction lawyers, including 13 partners, known for delivering sophisticated advice on major domestic and international projects. The group advises a broad client base, including developers, institutional investors, major corporates, public sector bodies and leading contractors. The team has deep industry knowledge - both legally and technically - and is involved in flagship projects across sectors such as real estate development, housing, logistics, infrastructure, energy, healthcare, life sciences and regeneration.

This position offers the chance to work on complex, high‐value non‐contentious construction matters and to play a key role in supporting the firm's clients on large‐scale, business‐critical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on all major forms of construction contract, including JCT, NEC, MF/1 and FIDIC
  • Drafting and negotiating development agreements, funding arrangements and agreements for lease
  • Leading on major development and infrastructure projects with minimal partner supervision
  • Managing client relationships and delivering clear, pragmatic, and commercial advice
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members
  • Collaborating with colleagues across offices and practice areas on large, multidisciplinary mandates

About You:

  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 4+ years' PQE
  • Strong experience in non‐contentious construction law, preferably within a recognised construction practice
  • Confident advising on major standard form contracts and development documentation
  • Proven ability to independently manage complex matters and deadlines
  • Strong drafting, problem‐solving and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and client‐handling abilities
  • Team‐focused, proactive and comfortable in a fast‐moving environment
