Taylor Root has been given the heads up on a new Senior Associate / Legal Director opportunity with a leading international law firm with one of the market-leading marine and shipping practice in London.

This is a standout opportunity to work closely with the Head of the Practice as their trusted deputy, taking on a genuine "number two" role within the team.

The successful candidate will play a key part in leading complex, high-value transactions, supporting client development initiatives and helping drive the continued growth of the practice.

You would work on a broad range of complex, cross-border shipping and marine asset transactions, advising an international client base including shipowners, financial institutions, leasing companies, investors and marine sector participants.

The team is recognised for its expertise in ship finance, sale and purchase transactions, marine and floating energy projects.

Key Responsibilities Advising on complex shipping, LNG and offshore energy transactions, including FSRU development, construction, operation and long-term charter arrangements.

Supporting vessel sale, purchase and leaseback transactions, newbuild projects and shipbuilding contracts across a range of marine assets.

Acting on ship finance, leasing, refinancing and structured finance matters, including private equity-backed investments and joint ventures.
