The team provides a broad range of services, including facilities management, project management, workplace consulting, and portfolio strategy, helping organisations optimise performance, enhance user experience, and adapt to changing business needs. The role also supports a flexible workspace platform within the group, which designs, delivers, and manages tailored office environments for enterprise clients. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal, the role involves:
- Providing legal support to key occupier-focused and flexible workspace business units, with a focus on facilities management, project management, consulting, and related commercial services.
- Providing legal advice (oral and written) to executives, managers, and other employees.
- Attending management, commercial, and operational meetings to provide legal input, identify risk, and support decision-making.
- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including client contracts, vendor and subcontractor agreements, master services agreements, and outsourcing arrangements.
- Supporting with contentious and compliance matters across the business, working towards practical solutions and appropriate dispute strategies where required.
- Working with the wider business to improve legal precedents, processes, and risk management protocols.
- Delivering updates and guidance to the business on key legal developments.
- Partnering closely with commercial teams in negotiations with clients and stakeholders, including delivering training on relevant legal areas.
- Providing flexible legal support as the business continues to grow and expand into new service lines.
Requirements:
- 8-12+ years’ PQE gained in private practice and/or in-house.
- Strong experience independently negotiating complex commercial contracts and transactions.
- Experience in commercial contracts and outsourcing arrangements, ideally within areas such as real estate, facilities management, professional services, or similar.
- Ability to distil complex legal matters into clear, concise, and commercially focused advice.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a broader legal team.
